About
Bloom Learning Centre has been a dream of ours and we are so excited to be able to offer this type of learning support to the families of Grande Prairie and surrounding area. Rochelle and Carmen both have a passion for education and helping children build knowledge, confidence and a passion for learning.
Rochelle Dempsey
Rochelle Dempsey has been a professional educator for 22 years, the majority of those spent working within the field of inclusion through varied roles and leadership positions. Within that capacity, Rochelle has been committed to supporting all students, including those with learning disabilities, ADHD, and Autism. As a certified Educational Therapist, trained through the National Institute of Learning Development, Rochelle designs and delivers personalized support programs for students with learning difficulties that emphasize each student’s unique strengths and gifts, while building essential foundational skills, resulting in improved confidence and competence. Rochelle offers one-on-one reading and writing support, conducts Level B assessments using Key Math, and co-facilitates autism social groups to support students in Grande Prairie and surrounding areas. She recently became a certified PEERS instructor through UCLA and is excited to bring this expertise and much needed program to Grande Prairie, AB. Rochelle believes in holistic approaches to learning and has also completed her 200-hour yoga certification. She is committed to facilitating growth and academic potential, by fostering an atmosphere of joy and positivity!
A loving wife and mother to two children, Rochelle understands the life of a busy mom. Going for walks with her dog and camping are some ways she enjoys spending time with her family.
Carmen Moore
Carmen Moore was most recently employed as an inclusive education coach but has over twenty five years in the field of education as a teacher, principal, and inclusive education coordinator. She is the founder of 'CMoore in Education', a multi faceted service based organization. She is a freelance writer, has contributed to curriculum content, has attained her Masters of Religious Education (MRE from Felician University), a Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorder/MSE, CAS (Certified Autism Specialist) (University of Kansas) and is a public speaker on a variety of topics. She is also the past President of
the Council for Inclusive Education for the Northwestern area. ​Carmen is part of a research project that is groundbreaking in the field of autism and she is a ​regular contributor to various online magazines.
However, she most enjoys her time as a wife and mother, playing cards, laughing and going for walks.
